“There were so many things I enjoyed about this internship; consequently, it is difficult to name just one. Unlike most, I actually enjoyed learning about the stuff behind the scenes back in the office-especially billing, archiving and accounting. It was also great learning more about digital photography and the programs that support it since I had never before used a digital camera.

Every shoot is about PR in some way, but each shoot has a unique angle that needs to be captured. I found it very valuable that John dissected each of the shoots with me; it taught me a lot about the approach one should take when
shooting an event.”

“I think one of the most important things I took away from
my internship was knowledge about the business of photography. When you are starting out, it is difficult to price your work and time properly. It can also be discouraging because people who do not use a photographer on a regular basis do not understand why the pricing structure is what it is. John made me better equipped to explain the value of a photographer’s time and work and showed me some very valuable business skills.”
